My Note: Call me crazy, but I love her hair in this one. It just seems to make sense since she grew up in an orphanage.
Notes: I love how it seems like she’s being swallowed by her hand-me-down clothes
Rough Sketch: Anya/Anastasia
My Notes: The proportions definitely need to be worked with, but I kind of like the short hair.
My Notes: Don’t ask me what they were thinking with the poka-dots, but I LOVE the hat!
(Don Bluth Notes Left to Right)
Don Bluth Note #1: "Anya in the Marlena Dietrich outfit. She wears baggy men’s trousers gathered at the waist."
Don Bluth Note #2: "Her hair is down & she wears a snug T-shirt."
Don Bluth Note #3: ”Anya, the student. The 1st dress is modest & simple with a distinctive Russian peasant influence. It is a gift from the rich lady on the steamer.”
Notes: The super long hair may be what adds to the character flow, but this is definitely another favorite.
Notes: I just love both of these costume designs so much.

It’s a dream come true for anyone who has ever spent an evening at the Renaissance Faire wishing that they could wear the pretty dresses AND the awesome armor. We utterly love this fashion spread from designer Pinkabsinthe.
